Kawamura Japanese Teens --Street Fashion


Fashion is a huge part of our identity. It is our "chosen skin." What we choose to wear shows who we are and how we apply our agency. We tend to gravitate towards those who look like us. Kawamura's article is about these principles of agency in street fashion is shown in Japanese teens. One part of Kawamura's article I found especially interesting was about female subgroups among the street fashion scene. Female teens have taken to the streets and created their own subgroups within the Japanese street fashion culture. Whether we believe it or not, fashion is who we are, it is part of our identity. I'd love to learn more about other subgroups in the world of street fashion that are emerging from all different parts of the world.
