Week 7: Street Fashion
In the article, Japanese Teen as Producers of Stree Fashion by Yuniya Kawamura, it talked about street fashion and the young ladies who produce these fashion trends. These street fashion trends divide these girls into groups that they associate with. These street fashion has been commercialized and marketed to boost the economy. For example, the trend of wearing long white socks at the ankles sold 35 different kinds of socks for this street fashion trend.
As the rise of Kpop becomes more popular in the U.S., the Kpop fashion has also risen. Similar to Japanese street fashion, Kpop idols are the trend starters. Suzy Bae from the Kpop group MissA is one of the top idol and actress in Korea 2015 and she was on the face of every Korean product. 
Black Pink is a rising Kpop group in 2019 from YG Entertainment. They have already started a world tour and have performed at sold-out performances, like Coachella. These four girls from this Kpop group will be the new face of Korean products.
