Week 1
Style POV
Relaxed. Laid back. Cozy but Fresh.
Christian Funk
If there’s one thing, you’ll notice about me it’s this: I
wear sweats as much as possible. If it was acceptable, I’d never wear anything
else. I believe the clothing we wear directly reflects our inner personality. The
same descriptions for a person’s outer appearance can also be attributed to
their inner being. I’d describe myself as laid back and I do emphasize comfort
in my clothing preferences, but I also try to showcase a degree of personal
flair to keep things fresh. Though I do like colors, I always find myself
gravitating toward neutrals and tones. I love gray; sweatpants, hoodies, you name
it, if it’s in gray, I’ll love it. That in mind, the one thing I’d like to
tweak about my personal style is to incorporate more colors. I’d also like to
experiment more and branch out –I need to take more risks with my style.
When I’m not wearing sweats, I still push for the same
elements –comfort but with style/flair. Button-downs are great layered with a
t-shirt underneath. I like to roll my sleeves up if it’s a long-sleeve and keep
the shirt unbuttoned to keep things breezy and give the outfit a relaxed
finish. Solid colors and pastels fit my style, but I also like patterns;
checkered or even something tropical like a Hawaiian shirt (I’ve got a couple
in my closet I’ve been waiting for the right occasion to bust out).
The price-point for my wardrobe is minimal. I’d love to flex
and own designer but that just isn’t in my budget at the current status of my
income. I, like anyone, like to get things for cheap, but sometimes cheap
doesn’t last –you get what you pay for. I’d rather pay a little extra for the
better-quality garment. (quality > quantity) I love thrifting! There’s
nothing better than finding something super unique that you couldn’t possibly
find anywhere else or for that thrift store price. I also like repurposing and making
custom clothing.
Absolutely killer. Dudes hitting the phone-a-friend, I crash my lambo. What a vibe.
