Week 1: Style Point of View

Week 1
Style Point of View

My daily look varies depending on my mood of the day, weather, schedule, and occasion. The amount of sleep pretty much dictates the level of wearing comfortable clothes (i.e. I wear leggings with a t-shirt if I am grumpy from a lack of sleep). If it's raining outside, my to-go daily look also involves leggings with rainboots. Now that the weather is getting warmer, I will probably wear sleeveless tops and long or short pants. To be honest, sitting in class for hours in uncomfortbale clothes is the pain in the ass, so generally speaking, I try to wear comfy clothes unless I have a meeting or dinner plan with my friends coming up later of the day. If I have a meeting or an event to which I need to dress up, I usually wear a semi-casual top and black pants with flat shoes.

In addition to all the factors I listed earlier, location and culture also affect what and how I wear. Because of the hot Californian sun, I love wearing sleeveless and short pants, and people don't care about what others wear. My look has to be slightly modified when I visit Asian countries where people tend to be conservative and stare at you if you wear "too revealing" clothes. I try to tone it down by wearing long pants and sometimes short sleeves.
