Style with a Point of View

The Style Chameleon

Styles reflect one's personality and a way that allows others to perceive what the person might be like without knowing them at a personal level as style articulates subject positions across individuals. I call myself simply as a "style chameleon" since my style constantly changes according to my mood or place. Majority of the time, I'm streetstyle/casual with comfort, yet cute being the main focus. When I want to feel chic and put together, I opt for more neutral tones, accessory pieces that I may not wear on an everyday basis and shoes with a little heel for added refinement. My "elegant" days are ones that you best believe I spent some time getting ready for and put some thought onto my over all look.
As I am a Pakistani American, I get a lot of events where we must dress up in our ethnic wear and that's when I truly embrace my origins. One gets lost with the everyday hustle and bustle of Western or student life that we tend to forget our origins or what makes us different from the crowd, but Pakistani fashion/dress allows me to stay close to my homeland as well as embrace my individuality. Being inspired by my roots, I've incorporated ethnic wear in my Western clothing and from time-to-time I tend to wear something, as in a t-shirt, with a little bit of added Pakistani spice to it.
My constantly changing style allows me to open up my sphere of creativity and not be narrow minded, but be available to change.

My style inspirations are @ambrabny (on instagram), Mahira Khan (Pakistani Actress) and Jennifer Aniston specifically Rachel from Friends!
